Where Am I Wearing?
Let your mind wonder
Hexapus and AI Stripper rule the news
By Kelsey | March 4th, 2008 | 11 Comments »
Some people are calling this the most important presidential election of our lifetime. So, one might expect that all eyes would be on the Ohio and Texas primaries today, right?
Not quite.
Here’s the CNN top stories today. If you make it past the American Idol stripper and the six-legged octopus (hexapus?), you’ll see that the story of today’s primaries is at #10.
God Bless America and our strippers and our politicians (in that order).

Looks like your election is bigger news north of the boarder. Here are the top stories on the CBC (Canadian Brodcast Corporation) News site.
1. Canadian sentenced to beheading in Saudi Arabia
2. Albertans elect historic 11th straight Tory government
3. Crucial primaries could signal fate of Clinton candidacy

I think you Canadians should be allowed to vote in U.S. elections. Heck, y’all are better informed about our politics; you probably know what’s best for us.

No wonder Danny Noriega is trying so hard to stay on the show.
March 4th, 2008 at 9:54 am
Matt, you just outed yourself as an American Idol fan. Danny has a beautiful voice that makes you cry when you hear it, doesn’t he?
March 4th, 2008 at 1:08 pm
I love watching American Idol. It makes me feel a lot better about myself. I want to stab Danny in the face with a rusty garden spade.

I can’t believe “Van Halen has medical tests” ranks higher than th election!
March 5th, 2008 at 6:59 am
I donno Kels… Canadian Idol isn’t on yet. That could affect the nation’s awareness.
March 5th, 2008 at 7:29 am
Melissa, I CAN believe Van Halen outranks the election. A presidential term is only 4 years, but Van Halen’s “Jump” is forever.
Kent, does American Idol air in Canada? If so, which show gets better ratings? Can you name one Canadian Idol I’ve heard of?
March 5th, 2008 at 1:45 pm
CTV picks up FOX’s broadcast of American Idol and beams the show across the country. However, Canadians rightfully have no say in who becomes the next president, or the next idol. Hence, Canadian Idol which generally starts a few weeks after the American Idol final.
And no… I can’t even name a Canadian Idol that I’ve heard of.
March 5th, 2008 at 1:57 pm
wait a minutes… CNN has got us again. Here we are talking about Idol instead of the primaries!
Have you ever seen the movie Idiocracy? It’s true!
March 5th, 2008 at 2:38 pm
Kent, I’m all for Canadians voting for President, but allowing them to vote for the American Idol…that just would be wrong.
I haven’t seen Idiocracy, but, really, does a bee want to watch a movie about living in a bee hive?
