I can’t believe they let customers put their cart on an escalator (background)! Here we have those annoying little cart escalators.

Maybe I don’t get out much, but I’m not even sure what a cart elevator is. I’m not sure where that lady is carting stuff. It’s not like her SUV is outside in the sprawling parking lot. Basically, as in most of China, there is no parking outside the Wal-Mart. Everyone walks or takes a bus. I talked a good bit with the manager at this Wal-Mart and he spoke about changing the Chinese shopping ideology into a one-stop shopping one. Wal-Marts are sprouting up in China, but they have quite a cultural battle on their hands.

Although, as I’ve said before, one thing unique about shopping at Wal-Mart in China is that all of the products there are made locally (in China).
